Earthen Hands
Reverend Jean Brown, pastor, potter, photographer, and pollinator is giving shape to Earthen Hands at Dayspring. The group gathers in the Seneca Creek watershed in Germantown, MD for nature walks, outdoor worship and wanders, lessons from the potter’s wheel, and contemplative pottery workshops. Through Earthen Hands she is creating a spiritual home for those drawn to God in nature and inspiring the changes needed to be in right relationship with this precious earth.
Earthen Hands has a potting shed on Dayspring land – 208 acres of forests, meadows, and bodies of water that includes Dayspring Church, a silent retreat center, and other ministries. The shed is used not only to make beautiful pottery, some of which you can purchase but also as a site for gatherings and conversations.
