You are warmly invited to gather at Dayspring on Sunday, September 13th, for a community song circle and potluck.  Alexandra Nelligan of Dayspring is inviting her boyfriend, Chase Gray, to join for a special collaboration. Chase is a singer-songwriter and has many song circle songs in his collection, including some we’ve sung before at previous circles (“You Are Enough” and “May This Be A Blessing”). This circle will have a stronger focus on praise and connection to God, whatever that means for you, with play and lightness throughout. Chase is a joyful song leader, and you are in for a treat while he is in town!

We will gather at 3:00 pm for snacks and tea as we settle in. We will sing from 3:30-5:30/6:00, and those who can stay can share a potluck meal. We’ll sing in the Dayspring farmhouse, or if the weather is nice, outside of the Earthen Hands potting shed.

We would like these gatherings to be accessible for all who want to join. Donations are appreciated, and help us to continue offering these gatherings moving forward – contribute what you are able.

Alexandra and Chase will teach the group songs that are simple-to-learn.  No singing/musical experience or talent is needed – your loving heart is all you need! This is a non performance based event, and welcomes every voice just as you are (especially if you’ve been taught you’re a “bad singer”). If you’d like to bring some light percussion, that is welcome too.

We may take pictures and video to share with participants, and to help let others know what it is we are doing here! If you do not want to be in any shared media, please let us know ahead of time – we will have a section of the room where you can sit and not be recorded.
